Bunmahon
A large sandy beach beside the historic copper mining town of Bunmahon. The nearby cliffs rise to almost 60 meters.
Clonea Strand
One of Waterford's EU Blue Flag beaches situated in Clonea, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.
Woodstown
Only a few kms east of Waterford city - halfway up Waterford’s broad estuary is this glorious beach, 2 km long that is favoured by locals for its unspoilt charm.
Tramore
One of the greatest beaches in Ireland. It is nearly 5km long and on sunny days basks in sunshine from dawn to dusk.
Tra Na Mo
This beach is only reached from a short cliff top walk west from Bunmahon. It is the most secluded and less frequented beach in the region.
Stradbally
A favourite with families, this beach is ringed with high ground offering shelter even on windy days.
Kilfarrasy
A nice beach for an evening stroll - in mid summer the sun reaches its sandy surface late into the day.
Garrarus Beach
Only 3 kilometers west of Tramore on the Kilfarrasy road, this fine beach is a secluded alternative to the larger resort beach at Tramore itself.
Dunmore East
The picturesque fishing village of Dunmore East boasts this fine well sheltered beach as well as a fine working fishing harbour and extensive anchorage for yachts.
Duncannon Beach
Easily reached via the Passage East car ferry this is one of the finest beaches in the region and also the only one where cars are allowed to park on the beach itself.
Cunnigar Beach
Situated in the Gaelic speaking area of West Waterford this flat beach nestles in the Dungarvan Estuary.
Benvoy
Much favoured by locals this beach offers safe bathing and spectacular coastal views along the Copper Coast to the West.
Ardmore
This historic coastal town with ancient monastic settlement remains dating from the 11th and 12th Centuries also features a fine stretch of sandy beach nearly 2 kms long.
Ballydowane Beach
Heading West on the coastal road from Waterford this secluded beach is bathed in sunshine all day long.
Annestown Beach
A small well sheltered beach on the coastal road with beautiful cliff top walks as an added attraction.
