Route 6 - Mountains and Valleys

Leave Waterford City going West on the N25. Turn right for Mahon Falls approx 3kms past the village of Kilmacthomas. Proceed straight through a cross roads after 3kms and begin to climb up a steep gradient for another 2 kms where a right turn leads to the Comeragh mountains and Mahon Falls. Return via the same route and turn right on to the N25 heading West. Branch off to the right on to the N72 sign posted for Killarney. After 5 kms turn right for Ballymacarbry on the R672. Turn right here for the Nier Valley a much loved beauty spot in the Comeragh Mountains. Return to Ballymacarbry and turn right on to the R671 to Clonmel. Return to Waterford on the N24.
